I took the picture of the trees by myself after I arrived at Akaroa. It surprised me that this kind of old trees are often beside the high way. Usually I thought the sight of very huge trees surrounded by water and grass could only appear on the pictures tooken at where I could never been to because I had never stayed in the environment like this. Yet, as soon as I went to more places, I understood it was very usual in NZ, it was like the whole country was covered by green plants or sea.
The weather was warm, I know it seems to be cold in the picture but it is not. My sister told me the plants are always green during the year. The difference in temperature during the day time and the night were bigger than it in Dalian. I had to take a coat with me just in case the weather changed.
I enjoyed the air in Akaroa, actually in whole NZ. It was really fresh especially in the mountains. Our motal was on a mountain.
The town used to be a French colony, therefore there was many French things. The statues like the one in the photo is avilable in many places. I enjoyed the constructs there very much because I like the old things and the things with a little more history rather than the natural scenery. If I have chance I want to visit Chenonceau in France. I like to visit place with many stories.
